Carpets Ringmer

Carpets Ringmer

Once you have purchased new carpets for your Ringmer home we are sure that you will be delighted by the comfort, style and warmth they bring. To help the new carpets on your Ringmer floors retain their beauty and depth of texture for many years to come there are a few, easy maintenance tricks to follow.

Choose the right vacuum cleaning functions

Vacuum your new carpets at least two times a week to stop dirt embedding itself in the pile. Different types of carpet respond better to different types of vacuum cleaners.

  • Use the suction head of a cylinder cleaner to vacuum loop pile carpets such as Berbers. If you do have an upright cleaner, then turn the rotating brush off to avoid harming the loops.
  • Cut pile carpets, such as a Twist or Saxony should be vacuumed with an upright cleaner. Ensure the vacuum is used lightly on the Saxony to avoid making track marks.

Decide on your shoe policy!

To protect your new carpets is your Ringmer home going to be a no shoe zone? If you want to keep your carpets looking their best you could choose to ask your family and friends to take their outdoor shoes off at the door. Keep a shoe rack in your entranceway and many people will naturally volunteer without being asked. Or at least ensure you have a door mat available for people to wipe their shoes on.

By investing in the right care and maintenance you can ensure that the carpets covering your Ringmer floors will look new for longer and last for years.
